Our Job Club provides participants with opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification, develop foundation skills, and receive career support - to successfully find employment or move on to further study.
Our experienced, caring and approachable staff will train and coach you in a supportive small-group setting. While learning in our newly refurbished air-conditioned space, you will have access to computers, printers and internet - with lunch provided!
At JOB CLUB participants get support with:
NATIONALLY RECOGNISED TRAINING
Build foundation skills in reading, writing, numeracy, oral communication and learning, as well as employability, computer skills with a:
FSK20113 Certificate II in Skills for Work and Vocational Pathways
Suitable participants have the opportunity to complete extra industry specific qualifications:
SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol (RSA)
CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry (White Card)
HLTAID003 Provide first aid
ACTIVITIES
Career exploration activities such as: visits to TAFE, University, a Vocational School, Career Expo, and Industry Training Centre; Learner Driver Practice; and Dressing for Interviews.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Up to two-weeks work experience in nominated area to try out career interests, practice key skills employers are looking for, and add to resume and referees.
ONE-ON-ONE COACHING
Receive personal and career coaching to grow in confidence and achieve your goals, with an Individual Learning Plan to support your success. Also receive job search support, career advice, job preparation and interview skills practice.
