#FAQs
What will the service look like?
Each weekend at Life Church you’ll find a relaxed and friendly atmosphere with our cafe open before and after the service. Our services run for 75 minutes and start with contemporary praise and worship music. One of our leaders will encourage us to believe for miracles and pray. There will be a practical, relevant message that goes for around 30 minutes. Children are well cared for in a loving, fun-filled Kids Life service. Check in for children is open half an hour before the service and check out is open for half an hour after the service so come early and grab a drink while your children are looked after.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
If you are visiting for the first time, we will not embarrass you, have you stand up, or expect you to give money. We are a friendly church, so you will have people say hello and chat with you. You will be invited to visit us in the Next Steps lounge which is in the foyer, so we can answer any questions you may have and get to know you a bit better. You will be offered a free drink of your choice at our Next Steps lounge after the service if you would like. One of our team will ask you if you wouldn't mind giving us your details so we can call you through the week to see how you are and if you have any questions. Of course, all of this is optional and you can choose to check us out, ‘be anonymous’ for a while, and stay as long or as little as you like.
What time does the cafe open?
Our cafe is open 45 minutes before our morning services and half an hour before our evening services, with hot and cold drinks for sale as well as light refreshments.
Is there plenty of parking?
We have plenty of parking across a number of different car parks and our friendly car park attendants will be able to help direct you to a park.
What should I wear?
You’ll find everything from casual clothes to business attire at our weekend services, but the majority of people wear smart casual clothing. Come in what is comfortable for you, because at Life Church it is not about what you look like or what you wear.
What about my children?
Your children are a top priority at Life Church and we have Kids Life services running at every weekend service. Our Kids Life services are clean, safe and fun, and are run by our loving team who all hold ‘Working With Children’ blue cards. It is our goal to see your children develop a personal relationship with Jesus and step into their God potential.
Do I need to bring anything for my children?
Please bring a hat and drink bottle with your child’s name on it. We have bubblers for children who don’t have a drink bottle. Children are welcome to bring a lunch box with snacks as well. Kids Life provides light snacks as part of the program.
How can I meet others and get connected?
There are many ways to get connected and meet people. You are always welcome at the Next Steps lounge in the foyer where our team would love to get to know you and help you get connected.
You can also visit the Next Steps lounge to find a life group suited for you. Life Groups are one of the best ways to develop genuine relationships at Life Church. You can also attend Step One or Step Two of the Life Track where you will meet some of the team and hear how you can get connected and get involved.
Do I need to reserve seating?
Everyone is welcome at Life Church and there are no reserved seats. Our doors open shortly before the service and we have friendly ushers who will help you find the best seats.
Is there access to public transport close by?
Life Church is ideally positioned 450m from Salisbury train station which is on the Beenleigh and Ferny Grove lines. There is also a bus stop at the Salisbury Station that the 599 and 125 buses stop at.
Will I be asked to give money?
We give our regular members an opportunity to give at each service. There is no obligation or expectation for anyone to give money and it is not expected that our visitors give money.
How long does a service go for?
Our services run for an hour and 15 minutes
Do you stream services online?
Our services are streamed live on our Facebook page for anyone to join in on. This is a great way to check out what the services are like before coming along in person.
How can I be discipled and grow?
Our desire is to see you empowered to lead in every area of life. Our Life Track is a great way to find out how you can discover your purpose and continue growing in your relationship with God. The Life Track consists of Step One and Step Two, which are regularly held as lunches and suppers after our services. You can RSVP for your Next Step online.
